Projects

Here is a list of projects/websites that I've built over the last 20+ years. They are listed in reverse chronological order based on an approximate launch date.

Home Project Manager

A local-only Flask app for managing projects, maintenance, and utilities for our home.

Site link: Local only web app

Tech Stack: Flask

Approximate launch date: May 20, 2026

Home Project Manager web app screenshotAs we zeroed in on a house to purchase, the process seemed to involve a lot of appointments, inspections, and other things related to getting both over the line on the purchase as well as managing all aspects of the house that will become our home. I got antsy and, along with Claude Code as my co-worker, built this app to track just about everything from the intial inspections, to processing quotes and invoices for repairs, to setting recurring maintenance events that I sometimes seem to forget. There will likely be tweaks along the way, but it's working for me so far.

Project Manager

A project manager for all of my web projects.

Site link: Local only web app

Tech Stack: Flask

Approximate launch date: Apr 1, 2026

Project Manager web app screenshot

A couple of months ago, I began building some local-only web apps using Claude Code. I was beginning to have trouble keeping track of them and which ones had outstanding tasks. These apps, along with a handful of public-facing website projects were weighing on my mental ability to stay on top of things. So I built this, with Claude Code as my co-producer, to give me an at-a-glance way to see which things were lagging. I've tweaked it along the way, and it's become incredibly handy.

The Clown Cabinet

A website depicting some of the more controversial quotes from the Trump administration cabinet members.

Site link: The Clown Cabinet

Tech Stack: Eleventy

Approximate launch date: Mar 15, 2026

The Clown Cabinet website screenshot

With deep frustration resulting from the lies and misinformation coming from the Trump administration, this site was created to document some of the more controversial quotes from cabinet members. It is updated periodically to reflect new information. All quotes are assumed to be real and sources are provided for each along with the relevant context. Any inaccuracies are not intended, but merely reflect what has been reported. The site was created with the significant assistance of Claude Code.

US Voting Information

Voter registration and voting requirements for all 50 US states and Washington DC.

Site link: US Voting Information

Tech Stack: Eleventy

Approximate launch date: Feb 23, 2026

US Voting Info website screenshot

This site was inspired by the discussion of voter ID requirements during President Trump's State of the Union address on February 23, 2026. Every state has its own rules for voter registration, ID requirements, early voting, and mail-in ballots. Finding accurate, up-to-date information can sometimes mean navigating multiple different websites with varying levels of clarity. The site aims to bring all of that information together in one place, making it easy for any citizen to understand what's required to register and to vote in their state. In addition, state voting laws are changing rapidly, with new legislation being introduced and passed in many states. The site also provides news updates on recent changes to voting laws, so visitors can stay informed about the evolving landscape of voting rights in the US. The site was created with the significant assistance of Claude Code. Learn more about the site here.

Socially Bundled

What started out as a tool to post 11ty content to multiple social media platforms evolved into a comprehensive content management system for the 11ty Bundle website.

Site link: Local only web app

Tech Stack: Flask

Approximate launch date: Jan 15, 2026

Socially Bundled website screenshot

This local web app saves me a ton of time when curating content for the 11ty Bundle website. While I had created a set of CLI tools to assist in managing the site (as documented here), there were many gaps in those tools that needed to be filled. So, rather than enhance those tools, I set out to create a local web app that would provide a more comprehensive solution. The site was created with the significant assistance of Claude Code.

The 11ty Bundle website screenshot

Way back in March of 2023, while working on my personal website, I had an incredible rush of energy. I'd been reading a lot of Eleventy documentation and blog posts, and following questions and answers on the Eleventy Discord server. I was learning a lot and excited about it, but also feeling a little overwhelmed by all the information I was taking in. I was trying to figure out how to organise it all and make it useful to me, and thinking about how I could share what I was learning with others. Here is the launch day post.

Fausto Bellino Tasca

The website of Fausto Bellino Tasca, a professional in his field.

Approximate launch date: Mar 8, 2022

The Grace Bransford for AVMA website screenshot

A good friend, tennis buddy, and former advertising executive asked if I would be interested in building a site for a veterinarian running for the AVMA Board of Directors. He had created a brochure for her campaign. Grace had been the vet for my friend's pets over the years. I said yes, and built this site. It was not enough for her to win the election, but this was a paid gig and I enjoyed working with my friend.

OneHanders website screenshot

I built this site for fun in early 2014. I was learning Meteor at the time and wanted to build a project with it. Return of the Natives

The site chronicles our return to California after living in Princeton, New Jersey for nearly 9 years.

Site link: Return of the Natives

Tech Stack: Apple iWeb

Approximate launch date: Jun 16, 2009

The Return of the Natives website screenshot

The site had been hosted on a shared server at Dreamhost. I downloaded all the files, made a tweak so that the index.html would load the site properly and pushed the files directly to Netlify...and it worked! There is no build process involved. This is your basic web relic. The code is rather insane and uses an incredible amount of inline styling with pixels as the measure for most things.

thefoodtimes

The website of The Food Times, a food blog that I built for a friend in the early 2010s.

Site link: No longer active

Tech Stack: MovableType

Approximate launch date: Jul 5, 2007

I was fortunate to find a kindred spirit in the IT department who provided server space to install it and allow be to build the site. The site has since been redesigned as the center has expanded greatly, but it was a fun project to work on and I learned a lot about web development a univerity environment in the process.

The website of the Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart, a private school in Princeton, New Jersey.

Site link: No longer active

Tech Stack: MovableType

Approximate launch date: Sep 1, 2004

Princeton Academy website screenshot

This was the first website that I have ever built. I was in the right place at the right time. Jeffrey Zeldman's book, Designing with Web Standards, had just come out and I was both a parent and a volunteer at the school. The school was new and had a website that consisted of just a couple of pages. I had heard of MovableType, one of the earliest static site generators, and it fit my mental model of how a website could be constructed as pages via a content management system. In addition to learning from Zeldman's book, the very first An Event Apart conference was held in Philadelphia in 2005, just an hour away from Princeton. I attended and received feedback on the site from Zeldman as well as Eric Meyer and Jason Santa Maria. I was very fortunate and building this site gave me a great introduction to web development and set me on the path to building more websites over the years. The site has since been redesigned as the school has grown.
